Election Day is your opportunity to shape the future. Whether you’re a first-time voter or a seasoned pro, this checklist will ensure you’re ready to make your voice count!

📅 Voting Checklist

  1. Check Your Registration Status

    • Confirm that your voter registration is active and accurate. Visit your state’s election website to check your status.

  2. Locate Your Polling Place or Ballot Drop-off Site

    • Look up your designated polling place or, if voting by mail, a secure drop-off location. Note the hours and address to avoid confusion.

  3. Review Candidates & Ballot Measures

    • Research candidates, propositions, and any measures on the ballot. Knowing where you stand will make your voting experience smoother and more informed.

  4. Decide How You’ll Vote

    • Decide if you’ll vote early, by mail, or in person on Election Day. Planning now saves time and hassle later.

  5. Double-Check ID Requirements

    • Check if your state requires an ID for in-person voting, and make sure you have the correct identification on hand.

  6. Prepare for Mail-in Voting (if applicable)

    • If voting by mail, fill out your ballot carefully, sign it where required, and submit it before the deadline. Many states also allow you to track your ballot status online.

  7. Set a Reminder

    • Mark your calendar or set an alarm for Election Day! Make sure you don’t forget or accidentally miss it.

  8. Encourage Friends and Family to Vote

    • Remind loved ones about the importance of voting and help them get prepared if needed. Voting as a group can even be a fun tradition!

  9. Review COVID-19 Guidelines (if applicable)

    • Check for any health and safety guidelines at your polling place if the pandemic affects your area. Some locations may have specific mask or distancing requirements.

  10. Plan Your Transportation

    • If needed, arrange your transportation ahead of time, whether that’s public transit, carpooling, or a rideshare, especially if you’re voting during busy hours.

A Prepared Voter is an Empowered Voter

Taking a few minutes to prepare ensures your voice is counted without the stress of last-minute rushing. Every step on this checklist brings you closer to a seamless, impactful voting experience.

Happy voting, and thank you for making your voice heard! 🗳️
